Nervous Tics, Avoiding Anxiety Attacks, & Why Can’t My BodyRelax? [ Q&A ]

by | Mar 5, 2024

Hosted by Keri Ford

During this episode, Keri answers several questions from the Somatic Success Society® Facebook Group. All the questions revolve around getting in a relaxed station, stepping out of anxiety, and dealing with moments of unrest. When it comes to avoiding anxiety attacks, it’s important to look at what was happening before the attack. It’s less about snapping out of it and more about listening to the nervous system.

In parallel, if a person has trouble relaxing, it’s probably because the body feels unsafe to relax, maybe due to a pattern that started in childhood. Anxiety tics or nervous tics, on the contrary, happen because of an impulse of the body itself. The body is reliving a stress response. Tune in to learn more!
