Social Media & Our Nervous System

by | Jun 11, 2024

Hosted by Keri Ford

Nowadays, social media and the nervous system are highly connected. How much attention we pay to the many different online platforms directly impacts our mental health and, interestingly enough, is also associated with poorer cognitive control. It’s essential to be mindful of what we consume on social media, considering not only the quality of the content but also the quantity.

There’s another aspect to this. We may think we are relaxing while lying on the couch, scrolling through social media. In reality, by paying attention to so much on the screen at once, we are far from a relaxed state. The brain is still processing and interpreting alot of information. Tune in to learn more about this and how you can consume Keri’s content differently.
