Hosted by Keri Ford

This special episode of Literally First Class™ is a couple’s edition with Jake Kauffman as Keri’s guest. Jake is a High-Performance Men’s Coach to 7 & 8-figure purpose-driven coaches, entrepreneurs & CEOs. He supports other conscious leaders in expanding themselves personally so that they can exponentially grow professionally. His unique approach to high-performance coaching can best be described as the intersection between personal transformation and business leadership.

Jake shares what is on his heart, and that is how to focus on achievement and success as a separate part from healing and transformation. Oftentimes, when we are trying to shift behaviors and habits to develop new routines and meet new goals, we don’t put enough focus on the necessary inner work that is going to support those new habits and behaviors, which will ultimately lead to those habits not sticking long term.

What does that inner work look like? Jake explains that we need to shift our foundation of belief by getting to the root of why we do what we do. We may use addictions to cover up anxiety or pain, but for high achievers, those addictions may look like noble acts such as overworking and constantly being “on”, which doesn’t allow our nervous system to regulate. Our culture has normalized stress and hustle to the point where we don’t even realize that there is something we are avoiding when we bury ourselves in things to do. This is why learning to slow down and get quiet with ourselves is so important and critical for our wellbeing. Tune in for more.
